Vanessa
Hey! I’m Vanessa. I am a registered Psychologist and Founder of Tide Psychology.
I work with people navigating the wonderfully inconvenient reality of behind human. I aim to create a space where you can slow things down, make sense of what's happening, and work towards understanding yourself on a deeper level.
If you’re looking for a psychologist who shows up as herself, meets you where you’re at and ocassionally gets side tracked in the lore and sidequests, then we may work well together.

I work with people experiencing a wide range of concerns. I have a particular interest in supporting late-diagnosed autistic and ADHD adults as they navigate identity, meaning, and adjustment in light of their diagnosis, as well as young adults and adults exploring questions around neurotype.

My therapeutic approach is heavily individualised to each person, as I truly believe good therapy is not a one-size-fits-all journey.
My work is grounded in and informed by compassion-focused therapy, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), schema therapy, and parts-based approaches including Internal Family Systems (IFS).

I deeply value maintaining a meaningful life outside of work. While my passion for helping others led me to a fulfilling career in psychology, I also prioritise time to recharge and engage in things that bring me joy. I love spending time on the coast, anything relating to the ocean keeps me grounded. I also enjoy live music, watching the O.C and reading. At home, life is made brighter by my Labrador x Kelpie, Kumo. I hope to one day have him trained as a therapy dog.
